Before walking into this property in Old Preston Hollow, I had high expectations. It’s one of only a handful of homes listed for sale on the market in Dallas that offers more than 10,000 square footage of living space, it’s one of the most expensive homes currently on the market and it’s listed with one of Dallas’ best real estate teams with a history of selling super luxurious homes. After touring the home and the property (which felt like navigating a maze) my expectations were exceeded and even shattered.
Honestly, I don’t feel like this blog feature can even do the home justice. It’s truly incredible, and to experience the home in all its glory, you must see it in person. When you walk in, you feel like you are in a celebrity’s home and have been invited to party with Dallas’ most famous. It feels you’ve arrived at a luxury resort complete with palm trees in the backyard. Everywhere you look, there is a room or space for entertaining and fun. There are multiple game rooms, multiple living rooms, multiple bar areas for parties, a massive open living space with dining options and a chef’s kitchen, multiple covered terraces and more fireplaces than I could count. The home sits on 1.8 acres, and one of the main features of this gorgeous property is the 42-foot pool, spa and expansive turfed backyard that also includes a regulation sized tennis court and a putting green. In addition, the home offers a home gym, a study, a media room and home theater, a catering kitchen and butler’s pantry and two-car garage and a four-car garage!
For me, there were three standouts as I toured this property. Most of the home and bedrooms are on the first level, with tons of natural light, tall ceilings and beautiful finishes and amenities. There is also 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a full kitchen and living room on a second level that feels like a guest house or suite. You don’t see a ton of homes that are built like this, so it’s a unique design feature that offers flexibility and options for the homeowners. Secondly, there is another true guest house attached to the main property but only accessible through a covered patio by the pool. It offers another additional suite, a guest living room, an outdoor living area and an outdoor kitchen space and bar. Lastly, one of my favorite parts of the home is the primary suite and bathrooms. When I first toured the home, I only saw one bathroom to the left of the primary suite. It was stunning, complete with a huge walk-in closet. However, when I walked back into the primary room, I noticed a SECOND bathroom complete with it’s own walk-in closet and bathtub (in addition to the oversized shower). So, each partner/spouse can have their own bathroom and closet, which you don’t see a lot in luxury homes like this. It’s something you have to see in person to fully appreciate!
