6630 Lakewood Boulevard, Dallas, Texas 75214
If this house looks familiar to you, it's probably because you saw it on the Lakewood Home Tour last fall. If you didn't make it to the Home Tour or if you don't live in Dallas, here's your chance to read all about the home and potentially see it in person! This iconic Lakewood home is the perfect combination of historic charm and modern luxury. Thanks to the listing agent, Natalie Hatchett, I recently got to tour this home in person, and it was even better the second time.
"Completely renovated and thoughtfully expanded in 2016 by the current owners in collaboration with Mark Hoesterey, of SHM Architects, and renowned designer, Chad Dorsey, the home showcases exceptional craftsmanship and high-end construction throughout. Step inside to discover a modern farmhouse vibe elevated by sophisticated finishes, generous natural light, and an incredible layout designed for both comfort and style. The home offers five spacious bedrooms, five full baths, and two half baths, each appointed with premium materials. The primary suite features vaulted ceilings, hidden study, and heated floors in the master bathroom. Perfect for entertaining, the property includes an elegant temperature controlled basement wine cellar, a sparkling pool, and a large front porch ideal for relaxing or gathering with friends. A whole-home generator provides peace of mind, while the two-car garage offers convenience and ample storage. This is a rare opportunity to own a beautifully reimagined historic home on one of Lakewood’s most coveted streets—where classic charm and contemporary elegance converge in every thoughtful detail." - Listing description from the North Texas MLS.
My favorite part of the home was the flex space/media room/bunk room upstairs. This room is ideal for young kids, teenagers or even a young adult who wants to hang out with friends, watch movies, play games and either sleep in the bunk beds or the separate twin bed in the nook (pictured above). Update: As of January 28th, this home went under contract, so is no longer active for sale on MLS.
